Bought these 245/45 R20 tires to replace OEM Firestone Firehawk GT/AS tires. Compared them to Nokian ONE, Firestone, Nexen, Continental, Michelin, and Falken, Vredestein Quatrac Pro, Laufenn and Vercelli Strada II tires. These were 60 percent of the top tier "name" brand tires. BUT, Blackhawk had an "AA" traction rating (only 7 percent have this double A rating--according to the DOT), an "A" heat dissipation rating, a 50K (don't hold your breathe) mileage warranty, top notch construction and tread designed here in the USA (Akron) and they are distributed by Sailun--an up and coming company that doesn't skimp on Quality Controls. They were also UHP and All-Season rated--perfect for 'sublight' speed driving on the interstate and for handling at speed. When I purchased them, I also picked a local tire dealer for installation (at a discount) that has been around for over 50 years. Simple Tire delivered directly to them and my appointment went smoothly. The alignment was checked and adjusted and the tires were mounted and balanced -- all within 90 minutes. Plus, I got a lifetime rotation/rebalance for all the tires every 5,000 miles. What's not to like?
After 1000 miles of speedy driving mixed with some stop and go, I was so pleased that I ordered (May 11th) another set for my wife's 2019 Chrysler 300 Touring L Sedan ('stealth' WHITE for the other lead-foot in our family).
There is a lot of info. on every tire sold in the U.S. at the D.O.T. website and the research greatly lessened my concerns for a relatively unknown brand and quality controls.
